We hope that everyone is staying safe during these unsure times. Your SRLL board has been working hard to get these players back on the field again. We have been talking to district as well as city officials with the hopes of making our 2020 season become a reality.

Last week the County of San Bernardino issued guidance for youth sports that is set up in three phases. Phase 1, which allows youths to engage in conditioning, drills and exercise activities while practicing social distancing. Phase 2 of youth sports begins, teams will be able to practice and play games without an audience. Phase 3 would allow games with an audience.  We are currently in Phase 1 and we have no timetable from the County for moves into Phases 2 and 3. Also, the City of Fontana has not released fields for any league sponsored events.  

 After a district wide meeting, our SRLL Board met to discuss options and after taking into consideration your feedback, county guidelines and District 71 recommendations we have made an extremely difficult decision to cancel our Spring 2020 season. We understand that for many players this is disappointing news but please understand that the overall health of our players is what is important for us.

As a Non-Profit Organization, registration fees each year are determined based on the anticipated funds needed to operate the upcoming season.  As you may know, a large portion of expenses for the league are incurred prior to the start of season for League Charter/insurance, uniforms, practice equipment, snack bar upgrades/supplies, office supplies (ads,flyers,ect.), credit card fees and Opening Day expenses. After considering expenses already incurred, the following options will be available;

1. 50% Credit of total fee paid, towards Winter 2020 Season (If return to normal play is available)
2. 50% Credit of total fee paid, towards Spring 2021 Season
3. Donate your Spring 2020 registration fee (Tax Deductible)

Additionally, if you purchased 66ers Tickets, money will be refunded to the teams, Please contact your Team Manager/Team Mom for that after July 6th.
